The Falcon and the Winter Solider
Film and Television | 3D Modeling & Visualization | Concept Design & Illustration
This was my first opportunity working with Marvel Studios and legendary prop master Russell Bobbitt, which made it a pretty meaningful project for me. I was brought on to concept and design a practical prop for a key action sequence—what we ended up calling the “Spider Lock.”
The lock was designed to secure the back of an armored transport and needed to function on set with magnetic attachment, while also being designed to break apart during the scene when it’s cut off. I handled the full design and 3D modeling of the piece, and then printed the parts used during filming. The design had to be both visually convincing and modular for the stunt requirements, which made it a fun challenge in terms of both aesthetics and functionality.
I’m incredibly thankful to have been part of a larger team of talented creatives, and especially grateful for the opportunity to contribute in this way. This project helped launch my work in the film and television industry—and I still look back on it as one of the most formative experiences of my career.
