Captain America Brave New World
Film and Television | 3D Modeling & Visualization | Concept Design & Illustration
I had the chance to work closely with Russell Bobbitt and the props team as a props illustrator on Captain America: Brave New World. I was responsible for concepting and 3D modeling several pieces that made it to screen, including an electric baton—which was a fun challenge since it’s such a familiar prop type. I focused on finding a fresh take that would feel unique to this story and world.
Other designs I contributed included the EMP handgun, wrist communicators for both Captain America and Falcon, a device we referred to as the “Sterns Device,” and a set of mini rockets. I also designed a pair of daggers that launch from Captain America’s wings during his fight with Red Hulk—definitely one of the cooler moments to help visualize.
Some concepts like the serpent talons and a shock collar didn’t make it to screen, but they were still a meaningful part of the design process.
Grateful to have been part of such a creative and collaborative team. It was a real privilege to contribute to a film on this scale and to help bring these ideas to life alongside so many talented people.
